The AAC-1506 Ground Master Equipment Ground Monitor determines whether equipment is properly grounded,helping to ensure the ESD safety of a process.The Ground Master Equipment Ground Monitor is a comprehensive real-time ground monitor that checks the connection of equipment to grounds in accordance with the ANSI/ESDA S.20.20 standard.
The AAC-1506 Ground Master Monitor is an equipment ground continuous monitor for metal tools. It continuously monitors the path-to-ground of SIX metal ground connections of process tools in work areas. This includes semiconductor, disk drive, flat panel, and electronic equipment manufacturing environments. The monitor provides both visual and audible alarms .

1.Power LED: Illuminates white when the monitor is powered.
2.Tool LEDs: Illuminates green when its respective tool is within the impedance test limits. Blinks red when its respective tool exceeds the .Illuminates solid red and audible alarm sounds when its respective tool exceeds the impedence test limit.
3.1-6Tool Monitor Switches: Slide the switch ON to enable its respective tool monitor circuit. Slide the switch OFF to disable its respective tool monitor circuit.
4.7-8 Resistance selection switch：The 7-8 switches can set different alarm resistance values according to different combinations.
5.Power Jack: Connect the included 6VDC power adapter here.
6.Monitored Tool Terminals: Monitors metal tools for proper conductive impedance. Use 18 AWG wire to connect the metal tools to these terminals.
7.Ground Terminal: Common ground point for the monitor.
a.Turn the 1-6 tool switch to ON; the monitoring starts, the LED light turns green, and the 1-6 tool grounding resistance is scrolled on the display.
b.When the monitoring points are less than six, you need to turn the corresponding tool switch to OFF, and the display no longer displays the disabled tool monitoring points.
c.When the equipment ground loop fails (the ground wire falls off, the resistance value exceeds the upper limit, etc.), the corresponding indicator light of the host lights up, and an alarm sounds, and the display shows the corresponding loop number and fault code EE.
Mount the Ground Master Equipment Ground Monitor on a wall or on a side of equipment where it’s stable placement and access to all connections is ensured，the length of wires to the monitored equipment is minimized.
Connecting Reference Ground：
The Ground Master Equipment Ground Monitor must be connected to a proper facility ground using its GND connection. This ground will serve as a reference. No monitoring is possible without this connection.
Make sure that this reference ground is a true ground and is properly connected to both facility (power) ground and to ESD ground, should these be separate at your factory.
Crimp an 18 AWG (1 mm diameter) wire to the supplied ring terminal and connect it to the GND terminal of the unit. Connect the other end of this wire to the proper facility ground. Minimize the length of this wire since the impedance of this wire will be a significant factor in measuring ground impedance of all connections. Do not coil the extra length of this wire.
